Fun at Arnolds Park!

Tonight Daddy was on a motorcycle ride, so the boys and I decided to go out and have a little fun. We picked up Grandma and Grandpa Umscheid and headed to Bob's Dogs for supper and then on to the amusement park for a little play time. Logan wanted to ride some rides, but we skipped the rides tonight and just took a nice walk along the lake, looked at some boats, played at the playground located inside the amusement park, watched the go-karts on the race track, and looked at the new mini-golf course. Although it was a little windy, it was a beautiful night to be out and about, especially after the monsoon rains we dealt with last night!

Brotherly Love

I captured a RARE moment the other day. Logan actually gave his bike to Landon to ride for a little bit and even helped Landon get around on it (this is nearly unheard of around here)! I was amazed! As you can see in one picture, Logan even did some repairs on the bike for Landon (he's such a Mr. Fix-It)! Maybe, even through all of their fighting, they love each other after all!

Our Dog, Connor

I took these pictures of Connor the other day, so I thought I should post them. After being like our child for several years, he doesn't get quite as much attention anymore now that we have REAL children:) Connor will be 10 this coming fall. He's had his share of medical problems, mostly ear infections (or as Logan would say...ear confections), but he's been a great dog. We hope to have many more years with him!

Happy Father's Day!

What a nice day today and a Happy Father's Day! We started the day off celebrating with Jeff and his dad by going to the airshow and having breakfast there. Then Jeff continued his special day by taking quite a long nap with the boys...a rare treat for a busy guy like Jeff! After naps we went over to my parent's house to celebrate with my dad and my grandpa. To make the day even better, the boys behaved so well I almost couldn't believe it! It was a busy, but wonderful day! Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers in our lives!

We Love Uncle Ben, Too!

Even though Uncle Ben isn't a father, we want to talk about him today too because we sure have a fun time with him. He likes to come play with us a lot because he lives close by and he's so fun! We thought we should put some pictures on here of the fun we had with him today at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

The Boys Love the Air Show!

This morning we took Logan and Landon to the air show in Spencer. We had never been there before, but the boys LOVE airplanes so we decided to give it a try.....what a hit!! When we got there Landon started screaming, "BAIRPLANE, BAIRPLANE" and clapping, and Logan was so excited he could hardly eat his pancakes that we bought for breakfast! What REALLY made Logan's day was that he got to sit in an airplane after the show was over! He didn't ever want to get out...he was in heaven! We'll definitely have to go back next year, and maybe by then Landon will be big enough to sit in the airplane, too!

Fun at the Park!

Yesterday we had fun day! Part of the day was spent going to the park....the boys' favorite thing to do! We decided yesterday to go to "Shelby's Park", as Logan calls it (it's a park in memory of a 2-year old girl named Shelby Duis who died as a result of child abuse). It's a nice little park for kids Logan and Landon's ages and there's a neat nature trail that you can walk that takes you down to a public dock on the lake. I always get nervous to take the boys on the dock, but they LOVE it! We left the park a little sooner than expected because as we were out on the dock, we heard the tornado sirens go off...I had a heart attack! We ran back to the car and turned on the radio only to find out they were just testing the sirens...whew!!! It was a very windy day, so I took things seriously!

Today we went to the Spencer Flag Fest parade and had a good time. We've never been there before, but Jeff was riding his motorcycle in the parade to help advertise for Spencer Motor Sports where he bought it (plus he has become good friends with the owner). I didn't tell the boys that Daddy would be in the parade, so the looks on their faces were priceless when they saw him! Tomorrow we are going to try the air show! All kinds of fun going on around here!!!

Grandpa Needs His OWN 4-Wheeler!

I thought some of you would get a kick out of this picture! Wednesday night we were having a get-together for my Mom's birthday, and Grandpa Mick decided he needed to ride the 4-wheeler with Landon...quite hilarious! I'm surprised it didn't break (and he's lucky it didn't). They made it about half way around the yard and then the 4-wheeler decided it couldn't lug the both of them. I think Grandpa needs to get his OWN 4-wheeler that's his size!

Logan Goes Fishing

What a day for Logan! We promised him that once he was wearing underwear and keeping them dry that Jeff would take him to buy his first fishing pole and take him fishing...well, Logan kept his end of the promise, so we did too! This morning he got to go to Stan's Bait Shop to shop for a fishing pole. He picked out a cool "Cars" pole. This afternoon after nap, Jeff took him fishing at Center Lake and he caught his first fish, with some help from Dad of course! I can't believe how FAST he and his brother are growing, but we are so glad to have at least one boy potty trained...and now Daddy has a new fishing buddy, that is unless Logan decides since he got his fishing trip in now he's done peeing and pooping in the "big boy" potty! Of course, Jeff can't wait until both boys are old enough to go fishing and hunting with him, but for now, Landon enjoys some alone time with Mommy while Logan goes and does his thing with Daddy. :)
