Happy 5th Birthday, Logan!
Boji Splash
Today Jeff and I took the boys to Boji Splash indoor waterpark here in Okoboji, partly to celebrate Logan's 5th birthday, and partly to just have something fun to do! On Sundays in the winter season, we can go to Boji Splash for only $5 per person, so it's great entertainment for just $20 for the whole family! We had a GREAT time and the boys took an extra long nap today because they were so tired, so a bonus for Jeff and I as well!

Boys' Fall Pictures
Well, since today was such a beautiful fall day, I decided to try to get some "professional-looking" pictures of the boys! They are very uncooperative, therefore I won't spend the money to pay a professional photographer. We ventured out to the acreage where my brother lives (the background options are better there than here in town), and my mom came with me to help keep the boys under control! I took about 80 pictures and only ended up with a few "good" ones, but that's all we need in order to keep our living room wall photos updated! Here are a few of the better ones. I don't claim to be a good photographer and I won't be quitting my day job, but I think these turned out okay...good enough for me anyhow!
Tractor Time with Grandpa Mick!
Now that harvest season is finally in full swing, the boys got a chance to go out and ride the tractor with Grandpa Mick...an event they look forward to each fall! My dad does some farm work for a local farm family, so this their only opportunity to get to ride in a tractor which is actually doing field work! They enjoyed their time so much...they rode for quite a while...I think my dad enjoyed the company as well! Until next year.....

Happy Halloween!!
Logan and Landon had a great time celebrating Halloween yesterday and last night! To start our celebration, Grandma Duvall sent the boys each a little money in their Halloween cards to go buy a treat, so we went to Wal-Mart and the boys each got to pick out their own treats...they thought that was pretty cool! The rest of the day was spent playing outside until it was time to go trick-or-treating. Landon dressed up as Elmo this year, while Logan was a MotoCross bike racer. The boys always love to go trick-or-treating to Grandma and Grandpa Umscheid's and Great-Grandma and Grandpa Umscheid's first...they got some pretty good treats at those places! Next we went around our neighborhood and visited with some of our neighbors. We came home with more candy than we could possibly ever eat! When we got home, we found some really fun Halloween gift bags that we're pretty sure came from Aunt Donna and cousin Dallas! Neat toys! We topped the night off with a nice family meal out to eat at Mineral City...YUM! Now it's time for the boys and I to get prepared for Daddy's birthday coming up real soon on November 3rd! I hope he likes our surprises!
