Boating

Today we had some fun in the sun by borrowing Gma and Gpa Duvall's boat and hitting the lakes! Uncle Ben and Alyssa joined us, and we had a blast! The boys really enoyed anchoring the boat and swimming...Logan especially had fun floating around in the water and splashing with Ben and Alyssa! Landon mostly liked to get in the water just so he could climb out on the boat ladder! What a nice day to be out on the lake!

Logan at the Beach

Landon at the Beach

Beach Bums

We FINALLY got another beach day in today. Lately, it's been either too cold or too rainy to go, but today was mid-80's and perfect! Last year, Logan would go in the water, but was pretty leary and Landon wouldn't go in the water at all. Well, things have changed this year! They are both too brave for their own good! Logan thinks he knows how to swim just because he's had swimming lessons (and NO he is not a good swimmer yet), and Landon is just plain fearless. We had fun today...thankfully Grandma Bonnie goes with us to help me out...she is also brave enough to go out in the water with the boys more so than I am! I hope we get some more beach days in before school starts!

July 4th

Our New Sandbox!

On Saturday, Grandpa and Grandma Duvall (along with Jeff's Aunt Judy and Uncle Bud) showed up to our house with everything needed to build a sandbox...including the sand! They spent the afternoon building and filling the box up. This was a much needed thing at our house, having two boys and all! They sure love digging in their new sandbox, especially Landon!

Logan - Zoo 2009

Landon - Zoo 2009

Zoo Trip 2009

Yesterday we decided to go to the zoo...the REAL zoo...not my house! Many days my house does feel like a zoo! My mom and I have made it a summer ritual to take the boys to the Sioux Falls Zoo! Yesterday was a perfect day to go...it was mid-week so it wasn't busy, 80 degress, no rain...PERFECT! The boys weren't "perfect" while at the zoo, but they were pretty good considering they were up almost 2 hours earlier than usual, and their silly mom forgot the snacks in the car, so they were starving by the end! The Sioux Falls Zoo is a great zoo for kids that are Logan and Landon's ages. There are plenty of animals there that they like to see, but not so many that it takes the whole day to walk around the zoo. In fact, we arrived at 9:15 and were done touring and in the gift shop by about 11:15. Both boys seemed to like the monkeys the best, and there was a really cute baby monkey that we enjoyed watching! Of course the train and the carousel were hits as well! All in all, we had a fun day!
