More Zoo Pictures

I forgot to mention in the last post that Logan and Landon really enjoyed riding on the train and the carousel at the zoo also! At first Logan was really upset that the train had wheels and didn't go on a train track, but mom and I convinced him that it was okay. On the carousel, Landon decided to ride on a panda bear and Logan wanted the traditional horse. They were very well behaved on this trip!

Zoo Day!!

Today my mom and I decided to take the boys to the Sioux Falls zoo before summer was over...a little fun before school starts up again! It ended up to be a perfect day for us. As we were driving to Sioux Falls, we had very thick fog all the way and when we got there, it was sunshine and great temps! Just when we got done looking at all of the animals and went inside to the giftshop, it started raining, so we escaped it. Then we took the boys to their favorite place to eat (not ours) McDonald's...as soon as we got inside, more rain...we escaped it again! The drive home was rain-free and now at home it is pretty hot and muggy. The boys are enjoying all of the souveniers they brought home, and let me tell ya, they scored big on this trip...zoo t-shirts, play lizards, stuffed fish animal, cowboy (sheriff) hats and bandanas, tiger and lion pillows, and of course Logan and Landon would find a play 4-wheeler and motorcycle in the zoo gift shop! It was a great day!

We Always Have Fun Outside!

As always, we LOVE to be outside playing! MANY miles have been put on the 4-wheeler and the bikes...the boys just never get tired of riding them! Now we wish the humidity would go away so we could enjoy being outside without feeling like we're sweating!

Pioneer Days Parade

Pioneer Days in Milford was this past weekend, so there were lots of fun things for us to do with the boys. Friday night we went to watch the Kiddie Parade, Kiddie Tractor Pulls, and Kiddie Water Fights. Next year Logan will be old enough to be in the tractor pulls, so he watched extra close this year to see how it's done! I think next year we will also try to be brave and enter the boys into the Kiddie Parade...we'll see when the time comes! Saturday was the actual parade. Logan raked in the candy and got enough to last until Halloween and beyond! He was so busy picking up all of the candy people threw at him that he barely got to watch the parade! Both boys loved all of the firetrucks and tractors! We wanted to go see all of the tractors at Florence Park on Sunday, but it was down pouring rain and we didn't get to...probably a good thing since we had been way too busy all weekend long!

Landon Loves His New Bedroom!

Well, I finally accomplished one of the many jobs on my summer "to do" list! My goal was to redo Landon's bedroom so it didn't look quite so babyish. We decided to decorate with farm animals...He LOVES it! He really enjoys pointing to each of the animals and making the sound for that animal! I included a picture with this post of one of his walls (ignore the window shade that doesn't match). We were having troubles with him going to bed at night, but for the time being, he loves going to lay down in there and look at his animals while he falls asleep!

We Don't Want No Clothes!

Each time Logan and Landon take a bath, I have to literally tackle them to get their clothes on...if they can run and feel the breeze on their behinds, they are happy!

Who skates in their underwear?

Who skates in their underwear? I have an answer to that...LOGAN! This kid is crazy! I'm thinking underwear modeling is probably NOT in his future! Neither is skating for that matter! Silly kid!

Boating Fun!

Today ended up being a beautiful summer day, so we decided to borrow Grandma and Grandpa Duvall's boat and soak up some sun! The boys absolutely LOVE being on the boat! We don't go far with them because it's exhausting to keep track of them and keep them safe, but they did get some boating time in today! Logan was excited to drive the boat, and Landon just wanted to be all over the place! I think the next boat trip I go on will be a secret from the boys and we'll get someone to watch them while Jeff and I go alone!

Little Jeff Wanna-Be's

Here are a few pictures of Jeff and two little guys that want to be just like him. Logan is even dressed just like Jeff!

Logan's 1st Time Camping!

Friday and Fireworks!

I forgot to mention in the earlier post that Logan got some roller skates at the flea market. They are hideous black ones from the 80's that say Master's of the Universe (anyone my age would know what that is..haha). Needless to say, he can't roller skate quite yet. The only safe place for him to wear them is on the carpet where he has some control...lol! These are also some pictures of us at the Green Space getting ready for fireworks and the beautiful sunset over West Lake Okoboji.

Campfire

4th of July!

What a beautiful 4th of July we had here!!! The weather has been PERFECT...in the 70's, lower 80's and not too much wind! Thursday night we began celebrating by having a campfire at my mom and dad's house and then heading to the fireworks in Spirit Lake. The plan was for Logan to go camping with Grandpa Mick, but after the fireworks, he wasn't feeling well at all. Not sure what it was making him feel icky, but it was very short-lived (thankfully). Then on Friday, we went to some flea markets, took long naps since we were tired from the night before, and then went to the Amusement Park to play for a little bit, listen to the concert in the Green Space, and enjoy the fireworks...they were spectacular!!! Logan DID end up camping with Grandpa last night and he loved it! It was his first camping experience...they set up a tent in my parent's backyard, so nothing too harsh:) What a great weekend and it's only half over!

Sprinkler Fun

Yesterday was a pretty warm day, so we got out the sprinkler to cool us off! Logan loves running in the water, but Landon didn't want much to do with it. He was all about shooting Logan with the water gun, though! I also had to include a picture of the boys showing a rare moment of love towards each other...once in a while they can be so sweet!
