1st Day of 2nd and 4th Grades!

As always, it's so hard to believe that summer has come to an end and it's time to start another school year!  Today was the first day of school for these boys!  Landon started 2nd grade, and Logan started 4th grade!  It's so hard to believe that Logan is now in the grade that I teach, and Landon isn't too far behind...not to mention this is Logan's last year of elementary school!  :(  Every parent says it and feels it, but they really do grow up too fast!  Both boys' teachers came and found me after school to say what awesome boys I have!  While they might not always behave at home, I am so proud of these two!  Even though they can be naughty for Jeff and I, we really have been blessed with GREAT boys!  Here's to hoping the rest of the school year goes as awesome as the first day!

Fun in Sioux Falls!

What a FUN little vacation the boys and I had in Sioux Falls while Jeff is on vacation in Sturgis!  We bring Grandma Bonnie with us every year, too, and love that she comes with us (since my dad takes his vacation to Boy Scout Camp each summer)!  We do this vacation each summer, and use it as a little get-away, as well as a chance to do some back-to-school shopping!

Here is some of the fun that the boys had at Chuck E Cheese!

We love staying at the Ramada, which has an indoor water park!  The boys are old enough that they have really enjoyed the water slide there the past few years!

Since the weather was quite rainy while we were there, and we couldn't go to Wild Water West (the outdoor water park), we tried something different this year...Sky Zone (indoor trampolines) was an ABSOLUTE HIT with the boys!  They never stopped smiling the whole time we were there!

Of course I didn't take any pictures of the grumpy boys as we were shopping (which they mostly HATE to do), and of course, they still did their share of fighting with one another and not listening to Mom, but we had a great time!  Nobody wanted to come home, yet it's so good to be back home!  Now we have a little bit of summer left to enjoy, and are gearing up for football (for Logan) and a new school year!
