Last Day of Summer Break :(

Here are a few pictures of the great fun we had on our last day of summer break!  I head back to work tomorrow, and the boys go back to school next Tuesday, so we met some friends at the pool today for some swimming fun!

Toothless Landon!

Well, tonight was a pretty exciting night for Landon!  We went down to the Green Space to listen to a concert tonight (like we do on many Saturday nights in the summer) and Landon was goofing around with a rubber band/hair tye thingy, when all of a sudden his loose front tooth was upside down and hanging by a thread!  Out came that tooth.  Then, a little while after that, we noticed his other front tooth was quite loose.  I tried a couple of times to pull it, but didn't get it.  Finally I told Landon to let Grandpa Mick try.  Grandpa pulled the tooth right out!  Landon didn't realize it at first (and my dad didn't tell him he got it), but then Landon ran his tongue where his tooth should be and got quite a surprised look on his face!  It was gone!!  TWO teeth lost on the same night!  He has high hopes for a big payout from the Tooth Fairy tonight!  Plus Grandpa Mick gave him a dollar for the tooth that he pulled...SPOILED!  :)

Sioux Falls Mini Vacation 2012

Since my dad takes his vacation to Boy Scout Camp every year, and my husband takes his vacation to Sturgis, my mom and I always like to take the boys on our own little mini-vacation to Sioux Falls each summer.  We see it as a chance to get out of town for a few days, buy the boys their back-to-school clothes, and just have fun!  Ok, with 2 boys that HATE shopping, the back-to-school clothes shopping = NOT an ounce of fun and TONS of bribing, but it always feels good to get that out of the way!  :)  I've posted some pictures of all the fun that we did have...

CHUCK E CHEESE:  Always a highlight for the boys!  While the food is far from great, the games sure are fun!

HOTEL WATER PARK: We usually stay at the Ramada, which has a nice little indoor water park that the boys enjoy!  They LOVE their swim time!

WILD WATER WEST WATER PARK:  This year, now that the boys are older, my mom and I decided to treat the boys to a fun day at Wild Water West!  At first (before we got there), they were a little nervous and didn't think they would like it, but once they found out what it was all about, they had an absolute BLAST!  They loved the bumper boats (ok, well, Landon didn't really love them after getting his stuck), the wave pool, lazy river, mini-golf, and all the fun play areas at the park!  We spent 7 1/2 hours there, which exhausted my mom and I, but the boys still had energy left to go back to our hotel and swim some more!  

We had such a fun time, and look forward to our trip next year!
