Northwestern Football Camp
The Northwestern College football camp in Orange City, Iowa is becoming a yearly tradition for my boys! Logan went last year and loved it, and both boys had a ton of fun there this year!
My 20th Class Reunion!
Pioneer Days this year also brought with it my 20th class reunion! We didn't get hardly any pictures, and only about 15-20 people showed up for the various events, but my closest friends and the people that I wanted to see came back for it, therefore, I had a very fun weekend! We had a get-together Friday night at Boji Bay Clubhouse, and one of the foriegn exchange students from Germany showed up to surprise us! She happened to be in Chicago, so she decided to swing back this way for a brief visit! We also had a float in the parade on Saturday, a picnic for our families Saturday afternoon, and then we capped the celebration off with the Pioneer Days street dance Saturday night! It was fun to see people from my class, both local and from afar, that I don't get to see nearly enough!
Milford Pioneer Days
This past weekend was our annual Pioneer Days here in Milford. As usual, the boys had lots of extra fun things to do! This year, both Logan and Landon decided that they were too big for the kiddie tractor pulls that they usually participate in. :( Logan decided he just wanted to watch the tractor pulls this year and cheer on the kids he knew, but Landon decided to try the kiddie water fights! He got 2nd place in the age 7-9 brackett! They also had a blast jumping on all of the inflatables at the park, dunking Matt Eckard and Coach Allen in the dunk tank, and riding in the Pioneer Days parade for youth football (they even got to ride on the Arnolds Park fire trucks for this)!!
Summer Fun!
Since I am lucky enough to have the summers off, I get to do lots of fun things with the boys! This summer, we have spent time doing lots of swimming (beach and pool) and playing LOTS of mini-golf! We've also done a little boating, and made several trips to the Tropical Sno stand in Arnolds Park! Grandma Bonnie has also had some days off here and there throughout the summer, so we've been able to spend some extra special time with her, too! I can't believe we are down to less than a month until a new school year starts!
