Trick-or-Treat!
Farming with Grandpa!
I had the day off from school today, so my mom and I were able to take the boys out to ride the tractor with Grandpa Mick. My dad does some field work for the Titterington Family every fall, so we take advantage of some "real" tractor time for the boys every year around this time. Logan is convinced that Grandpa Mick owns the farm and the tractor...doesn't matter how many times we tell him he doesn't! After doing some field work, my mom and I took the boys to McDonald's, and now they are down for a nap to prepare for trick-or-treating tonight! The weather is great today, so trick-or-treating shouldn't be cold at all this year!!! I'm sure I'll be posting some Halloween pictures soon!

Okoboji Elementary Fall Festival
Each year, the parent organization at our elementary school hosts a Fall Festival. It is just a fun night in which people can take their kids to school to trick-or-treat through the hallways downstairs, go to a haunted hallway upstairs, go on hayrides, have pumpkin carving contests, and buy yummy stuff at their bakesale. About the only thing we do since our kids are so young is go trick-or-treating through the hallways.
Logan decided he wanted to be an Iowa Hawkeye football player this year, which fits his personality and interests perfectly. Landon was a lion, mostly because we had the costume from when Logan was 2, but also because Landon likes animals and soft, cuddly things. The costume is adorable, be he refuses to put the hood up, so people can't see the lion face and mane. Oh well, maybe by Halloween he will let us put the hood up (but I'm guessing he won't because he is stubborn like his mom).
Last year Logan got scared of all of the masks and scary costumes, but this year he wasn't afraid at all. Landon wasn't quite sure what to think and got scared a few times and wouldn't let anybody give him candy (and he is a candy freak)! The boys did have fun because they went trick-or-treating with their friends Kyle, Amy, and Grace (Amy and Grace are both within a couple weeks of Logan age-wise). I suppose next year I will be part of the parent organization since Logan will be in Pre-K at the elementary...let the fun begin! Time is going way too fast!!

Camo Boys
Tonight the boys tried on their hunting outfits, so I tried to get a few pictures of them. Let's just say, they had other things on their mind besides getting their pictures taken...VERY uncooperative!! I did end up with a few good pictures, but not many compared to how many I took! Boys....
I know Logan especially is getting excited for the day he is old enough to go hunting, and I'm thinking it's not all bad to have two boys...quiet time for Mommy while Daddy entertains them and does "boy" things with them!! Of course unless these boys start to do what their told and actually be quiet, they aren't going to be very successful hunters!

Mommy's attempt at being photographer...
Today I attempted to be a professional photographer, and let's just say...I'm not giving up my day job. I knew that it would be a waste of money to take the boys to any type of professional photgrapher because not only do they NOT listen, but they don't sit still either. I got a few okay shots, but I don't know...might give it another try and see if I can come up with anything better!

Logan's 1st Day of Preschool!
Yesterday was Logan's 1st day of preschool...a very special, exciting day for us! I can't believe he is already old enough to be going to preschool! He has been very excited to go for about a month now, and is glad it is finally time for it to begin! He seems to love going so far (even though he's only gone for 2 days now). He gets to go to school with his buddies Caden, Amy, and Grace who also go to my mom's daycare! Bless my mom for getting them to and from school each day!! We hope that he continues to do well and learns lots of new stuff each day!

Landon's 2nd Birthday!
Landon turned 2 yesterday! He got to have a little birthday party with his daycare friends (and "daycare" is my mom's house) yesterday at lunch and we had a party at our house last night to celebrate! We just had family that lives here in Milford over for supper, cake and ice cream, and then we watched Landon open his presents! He scored pretty big with all of his gifts, but his biggest gift was a new John Deere pedal tractor! Jeff and I went together with my mom and dad to purchase it...he needed something that was his own and not a hand-me-down from Logan. Of course Logan is not too thrilled to admit that the tractor belongs to Landon...he thinks it's his. Anyway, I think Landon had a pretty good day yesterday! I can't beleive my baby is two! :(
