This morning my mom and I decided to take the boys to a pumpkin patch in Lakefield, MN (about 30 minutes from our house). We usually go get our pumpkins from the Okoboji FFA plot near Okoboji High School, but theirs didn't turn out this year:( I think the place we went this year, a place called Poppe Pumpkin Patch, will have to be a yearly event because the boys had so much fun! There's all kinds of stuff to do there besides just get pumpkins: cornfield maze (which we didn't do), playground, Storybook Land, see farm animals (goats, chickens, horse, pigs, rabbits, llamas), trike-riding track, mini-golf course (which we also didn't do), barrel train for kids, hayrides, a place to go and paint pumpkins, a restraunt, a gift shop, and the list could go on!! Fall is my favorite time of year, so I really enjoyed taking the boys there too!

Landon at the Pumpkin Patch!
Landon really had a fun morning at the pumpkin patch! I think his favorite thing was probably just being out on a farm and running around! I was able to get him to ride the barrel train with me, but we don't have a digital picture of that :( Landon was not very cooperative for pictures, so here are the few that I was able to get!
Logan at the Pumpkin Patch!
Logan enjoyed the pumpkin patch today!! I don't know what his favorite thing was...he loved EVERYTHING!! One thing I did not get a digital picture of was his ride on the barrel train...that was probably his favorite thing about our trip today. Logan cooperated much better than Landon for pictures, but here are just a few of them!

Go Hawkeyes!!!
What a big day for the Hawkeyes! We are BIG Hawkeye fans, so we are proud that they were able to beat the Cyclones today!! Here are a few pictures of our lil' Hawkeyes. The boys played their own football game with each other pretty much the whole first half! This whole weekend has been great with the Okoboji Pioneers (my hometown and where we live) beating the Cherokee Braves (Jeff's hometown) and the big win for Iowa today! Go Pioneers! Go Hawkeyes (or as Landon says...Go Gawkeyes)!

Logan and Landon at the Clay County Fair!
Here are some pictures of the boys at the fair. We are glad we went today! There was supposed to be a chance of rain, but it didn't rain and the temperatures were nice and cool so the buildings weren't so hot. You can read the posts below this one to see more pictures of each of the boys and find out how their day went!
Landon at the Clay County Fair!
Landon had a GREAT time today at the fair! His favorite things at the fair were the horses (or morses as he says) and the tractors! He had to fight with his brother for seats on the tractors, but he got plenty of "tractor time" in today! He would climb up on one, drive for a little bit, hop down and run to another one. We spent a mojority of our day in the tractor section! Landon also enjoyed seeing the model train station, getting a sucker from the Iowa State Patrolman, getting close up to a small airplane, looking at all of the different farm animals, and watching Logan ride a few rides (Landon just has no interest in riding rides quite yet). Just like Logan, Landon was SO well behaved today, so he also got a toy John Deere Buck and a John Deere cup.
Logan at the Clay County Fair!
Logan's favorites this year at the Clay County Fair were, of course, the tractors, as well as the few rides he went on. He got to sit on lots of John Deere tractors which he loves, but he was also very excited to sit on the Case tractor similar to what Grandpa Mick drives when he helps Titterington's farm in the fall. He really enjoyed looking at the model train station, but I didn't get any good pictures of that. Logan has had a major fear of cops lately, so while we were at the fair, we stopped by the Iowa State Patrol station and he made friends with the cops...now he thinks they are very nice (of course it helped that the officer gave him a sticker, keychain, coloring book, and a sucker)! He was a very good boy at the fair, so we bought him a toy John Deere Buck as well as a John Deere cup...he couldn't have behaved any better! Logan ended his day at the fair with a ride on the carousel (he chose to ride a deer), and a ride on the boats!
