Umscheid Easter!

Happy Umscheid Easter!
Cool Nerf dart blow gun!

Eli is thinking, "My cousins are CRAZY!" (Taken a few days before Easter)
The cousins in their "springy" shirts!

Well, our Umscheid Easter celebration was the last one for the year. I have to admit, these boys might be a little spoiled! :) The boys' Easter baskets from Grandma and Grandpa Umscheid included season passes to Arnold's Park Amusement Park! Bring on summer! Other big hits included Big League Chew (bubble gum) and Nerf dart blow guns! Uncle Ben and Aunt Alyssa also gave the boys some awesome stuff, including some fun card games that got the boys giggling! Of course, this was cousin Eli's first Easter, so he got a little spoiling, too! The boys love their cousin Eli, as you can see in the pictures above!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with family and friends!

Easter Morning!

Happy Easter to you all! The Easter Bunny had quite a load this year, as he brought the boys each a new bike! They were very surprised and pleased! The bunny also left quite a few goodies in each of their baskets, and hid a lot of eggs around the house (some of which I think may still be hidden)! After breakfast and the fun and excitement of what the Easter Bunny had left behind had dimmed, the boys decided it was time to ride their new bikes! They were so excited to ride their bikes, but it was time to go to church, so while Jeff and I walked to church this morning (only 3 or 4 blocks), they rode their bikes! The church service was joyous and uplifting! Afterwards, we went to the nursing home to visit my grandma, and quite a few of my family members were there, too! Later this afternoon, it will be Easter with my parents and my brother and his family! We are truly blessed! Thank You, Lord!

Duvall Easter and Happy Birthday, Grandpa Duvall!

Today, Grandma and Grandpa Duvall came to visit us for Easter! Today is also Grandpa Duvall's birthday, so we were able to celebrate that with him as well! Landon gave him his birthday spankings, and he could ALMOST count as high as Grandpa's age! :) Although he couldn't quite count that high yet, he was spanking faster than he was counting, so I'm pretty sure Grandpa got enough spankings for this year! LOL! Grandma Duvall hid some eggs in our yard, and each egg the boys found had a quarter in it! There is still one egg that is no where to be found, so that will be a fun little surprise quarter when someone finally finds it days, weeks...months? from now! We topped the day off with a wonderful Easter meal and cake with ice cream! Now it's time for the Easter Bunny to visit, so after reading The Easter Story about Jesus' death and resurrection, little boys are sound asleep, all too excited to wake up in the morning! I think they will be pleasantly surprised with what the bunny brings them, but I also want them to remember why Easter is such a special holiday! The Lord is Risen!

Getting Ready for Easter!

Since it's Good Friday and the boys and I did not have school, we held our annual tradition of coloring our Easter eggs today! Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Mick also had the day off, so they came over to join in the fun! This year, the boys got creative with their designs since they had these cool new tools in which you can paint on your eggs with what looks like a q-tip. Budding artists, they are not, but the eggs are more interesting this year, that's for sure!

Daddy's Little Helpers!

Riding around the yard on Dad's mower! I sure hope these boys like mowing this much when they are old enough to mow for real!

Palm Sunday 2012

Logan and Kylan presenting the check to One Great Hour of Sharing
The kids singing Ho-Ho-Ho-Hosanna! (Pastor Karl played the harmonica with them!)
I got in on a picture too, since we all had such bright colors on!
Love my handsome boys!
It's Palm Sunday, and the boys had to sing a song in church and present a check to One Great Hour of Sharing - the money their Sunday School class collected for the charity. They looked so handsome in their bright spring-colored shirts that I couldn't resist posting a few pictures! The pic of them singing in church is pretty blurry, but it's the best I've got.

Clap your hands all you people.
Shout unto God with a voice of praise!
They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he
who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!
