The boys and I, along with my mom, took a little vacation to Sioux Falls. Since Jeff's work schedule was too busy, he wasn't able to get out of town with us and my dad spent the week with his troop at Boy Scout Camp, so my mom came along with us...I couldn't have gone by myself with these two monsters. We stayed at the Ramkota and the plan for the vacation was to just get out of town and let the boys swim to their heart's content! And they did! They got LOTS of swim time in! The hotel had a little indoor waterpark, as well as a nice outdoor pool. Logan has been begging to go stay at a hotel and swim, so that's what we did! The boys also got to take their first trip to Chuck E Cheese's (it was my mom's and my first time also) and had a blast there! While in town, we also did a little fall clothes shopping for the boys (a nightmare with a almost 3 year old and almost 5 year old) and ended our shopping trip by a visit to Toys R Us. The boys each got to pick out toys...we found that Landon is a wise shopper...Logan, not so much. Logan has expensive taste and Landon is just happy to have anything that is his own! We had a fun time, but are always happy to come back home...the boys sure did miss Daddy!
Landon was SURE wishing he could go to school today, too, like everyone else. Unfortunately, he's not old enough to start preschool until next year (thankfully I have another year before I have to worry). To make the day a little easier on him, Grandma Bonnie gave Landon a special backpack with a farm theme. That way, he had a new backpack just like everyone else!! He is growing up so fast, just like his brother, so I'm kind of glad he's not going off to school just yet! :)
